Robert Smyth school in Leicestershire hosted 2012 mascot Mandeville today. The school won the chance in a national competition. But it isn’t impossible for any school to be part of the 2012 excitement. You just need to join up to the GetSet Network of schools and meet some pretty basic criteria. It could take less than an hour. I have already seen the effect of 2012 and it’s potential to inspire. Today we saw it again. We won the Games for London on a promise to inspire a generation to take part in sport. You may not think Mandeville alone can do that, but as part of the 2012 story I can tell you legacy is being built as we can see in this picture. It is that simple. Perhaps we make it too difficult sometimes
