Photos from a visit with Tearfund in Uganda

I visited Uganda with Tearfund a few years ago to see their water projects in action. We were greeted by sing in crowds grateful that Tearfund had provided ‘water’ ie rain capture tanks and a standpipe for 400 villagers. They were delighted! Imagine my constituents welcoming a standpipe for every 400 people? It saved their girls ( was mainly girls) travelling 6 miles each day to fetch water.

I do get a little boring when it comes to having to day these things about the quality of our life and how ungrateful we are. I still can’t believe any begrudges helping making these improvements to life for our brother & sisters.

Added bonus – the Ugandan water engineers had been trained at WEDEC at Loughborough University!
