For somebody who doesn’t really like numbers I do always love to look at surveys, findings, studies, segmentation. This snapshot is a really useful look into 21st Century Evangelicals in the UK. I have always been fascinated by what drives others and following a useful discussion yesterday about the numbers and effort it takes to put on a typical Sunday worship service in a normal sized church (c 100 people). I usually quote about 30 people – but I am reliably informed for the Church yesterday it takes 35 people on the ‘rota’ to make every week happen. That’s a lot of effort for the 1.5 hours. This is why I continually look at Fresh Expressions of church and look for new models which get the balance between Sunday and the rest of the week right!
