Attended the national Tchoukball club championships today as Chair of the Sport & Recreation Alliance over at the Volleyball National centre in Kettering.
Whilst the FA cup final was being played at Wembley where I’ve been a few times it’s important to recognise in our sector that there are millions of people not that interested in football and some of the other so called big sports.
Indeed I would be surprised if anybody has even heard of the sport never mind seen it played. But the passion showed by all involved today shows that the sports are just as important.
We awarded the CEO the Alliance Code of Good governance certificate as they signed up and are working hard to improve their structures continually.
