A little more pressure added to PL Boss Richard Scudamore. So far there has been stinging criticism but the slowly increasing drumbeat if for him to’ consider his position’ code for resign without using the R word. Nobody wants to be first to call for a resignation.
Personally I deplore the tone and content of the emails I have seen and I understand there will be more. In some sports the blokey dressing room chat is unpalatable and needs addressing – but there is no excuse in a multi billion £ business for any board or executive member to even have these thoughts – never write them down – in a modern forward looking organisation. Perhaps resignation is a step too far but he is damaged forever by this & rightly so…
