Whilst something as large as the Co-op Group needs managing in a much more professional way the core values cannot be lost. It cannot and must not become just another corporate retail giant. In sport we are going through similar pains – as sports become big businesses but are still (or should be) member ‘owned’
I was proud to be have been a Labour AND Co-operative MP. The movment is special and the right balance needs to be struck today to allow accountability bit decent business management of what is a business!
