Happy to admit to @brianmoore666 that I have been a detractor of the team but not the philosophy at Sarries http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/rugbyunion/european-rugby/10791820/Saracens-deserve-credit-not-criticism-for-becoming-one-of-the-strongest-teams-in-European-club-rugby.html where their Foundation work in the community was always second to none. There was always more the the Club than the detractors would give credit.
I was fortunate a few years ago to have dinner after a parliamentary rugby group meeting with Nigel Wray and Francois Pienaar when they had pumped in the money but weren’t succeeding. There was a real humility but genuine desire which I still recall 10-12 years later
